And counting...

213 hours until I'm done work and am free to do what I want and leave this place! Woopee!!
This consists of 56 hours of work, 48 hours of weekend, an attempt at 72 hours of sleep and a whole lot of packing and saying goodbyes.
I've started with the packing part and now have several full boxes in my room waiting to go home. I just can't bring myself to pack up my stuffed animals (it'll feel lonely), my clothes (what if I want to wear them) or anything on my computer... yet! I have a busy week and a half ahead of me so I'm hoping it goes by fast so I can go home again.
Tomorrow is student night where Syncrude puts on a whole big to do for all the students including free food and door prizes (I think this results in free schwag for everyone!) We'll see how it goes, I'm looking forward to it though.
Friday my friends and I are trying to organize a bit of a Christmas party so we can all be together before the end. This could go one way or another. On the one hand everyone can be cheerful and happy to be together and enjoy themselves... or... it can go seriously downhill. See, we have this friend Amber. She has a rather interesting upbringing in that she's the most normal one in her family... and that's saying something! Anyway... there's always been something a little off about her but for the most part it's been something we can try to put behind us and ignore the creepy factor. She meets this guy, Matt, near the beginning of term. Now he seriously makes us all feel a little uncomfortable for some reason... mostly, I think, because he's a smartass. Anyway, since they've started hanging out it's been almost like they've been dating but Amber had a boyfriend back home in Ottawa. So it turns out the weekend some friends and I go on a road trip to Saskatoon all hell breaks loose. Kim (the boyfriend) came up all the way from Ottawa for the weekend, she breaks up with him and within the day is going at it with Matt... slight loss of respect here. This just adds another notch the the stick of why we don't really like spending time with her. So we were discussing a Christmas party and she happens to notice that we're talking about doing it next week. Well, she throws a fit! She tells us we already decided to have the party this Friday so that she could go as she will be going home for Christmas next week. We ended up discussing it and to keep the peace we finally gave in. So now we're all bringing ourselves and our leftover booze from the term and some Christmassy food over to her place and we'll see how long it lasts before somebody decks her... or Matt.
Anywho, this becomes a real problem in that she wanted to have us all over again for her birthday which she intends to celebrate on Saturday. Now I can already see that if things don't go well Friday night Saturday is not going to be an option. I hate this because I really dislike making people feel bad or leaving them out but really, it's going to be kind of sketchy to see how this pans out. Oooh, but Saturday Eric is being really nice and taking me to the bottle depot to FINALLY get rid of all the bottles and cans that have been cluttering up the front closet since May!
Sunday will truly be a day or rest after all of this high school esque drama. Church in the morning and then packing and cleaning, preparing the apartment for inspection so that I can leave!
Monday... last week of work, sometime over the course of this week we decided we will go for a nice steak dinner out one night... mmm, steak. Looking forward to that one!
Tuesday - final healthy weighs meeting... oooh! I weighed in on Tuesday this week and have so far lost 15 POUNDS!! YAY!! Now if I can keep this up at an equal rate I'll be a pretty ideal size by the time July comes around, I just hope I don't have to alter the dress TOO much!
Wednesday - steak? maybe, I&I... maybe, packing... maybe
Thursday - see Wednesday! Gotta finish packing today!
Friday is the last day! WOOPEE!! I can't wait to go home! Dad and Dan are coming up that day to take me back home. They will drive up in the morning and get here probably around the time I finish work or shortly thereafter. My two favorite men! Yay! Maybe if all goes well we'll load up the van that night and drive back again but something tells me that's not likely! Early the next morning we will be on the road in hopes of getting the van unpacked that night so that my stuff doesn't sit in the garage for a week!
Sunday, Christmas eve, fly out to Kamloops and finally relax again... kind of!

So that's the plan, now to see how it all pans out and hope that it goes by fast! Christmas with family in BC and New Year's with friends followed by the start of school and everything that comes with it, then maybe I can actually unpack!! By the way... what do I get Dan, a 24 year old man, for Christmas? I used up my ingenuity on his birthday at the start of the month. Silly December birthdays! OK, time to stop rambling I guess.

Goodnight!
